About Christine Hands:

Christine Hands is the Managing Broker and Owner of Alpenglow Properties, Inc.

Christine originally acquired her licensing while in property management, and in 1995, made a move into real estate as an assistant. Planning and organizing the Realtor's Scholarship Golf Tournament that year was definitely a highlight of Christine's duties, and she has been actively involved every year with this scholarship fundraiser. Christine sat on the Steamboat Springs Board of Directors as Treasurer and as an Executive Officer for the local Board of Realtors, and received a Distinguished Service Award in recognition of her contribution and participation on the Board of Directors and to the Scholarship Golf Tournament. Christine has also earned Realtor® Professional Designations of MRE (Masters in Real Estate) and GRI (Graduate Realtors® Institute). In addition, Christine received the 2006 "Realtor of the Year" award for her cumulative commitment to the Steamboat Springs Board of Realtors, and for her willingness to support the principles which distinguish REALTOR® as professionals.

While managing her own brokerage, Christine continues to serve the local and visiting community of Steamboat Springs. Christine sat as a long-standing member of her church's finance council, is a member of the Steamboat Springs Arts Council, and donates her time with charitable organizations when needed. Having graduated from Bradley University in southern Illinois as a Fine Arts major, Christine enjoys art show openings, Strings in the Mountains concerts, and Emerald City Opera Company performances.

She still dabbles occasionally in watercolors and oils, has been known to quilt with a group of friends, and enjoys fly fishing, horseback riding, cross country skiing and snowshoeing.
